This hands-on intensive will enable participants to strengthen their grant proposals by leveraging evaluative thinking to build a persuasive case for funding. You will get the most out of this session if you are currently in the process of writing a grant proposal or are planning to write a grant proposal in the coming months.

• Understand evaluative thinking and why NOT identifying metrics right out the gate can improve your chances of delivering what you promise.
• Answer key questions related to evaluation for your proposed program: What do you want to know? Why do you want to know it? How will you use what you learn?
• Use insights from above to examine ways in which incorporating evaluative thinking into your grant proposal can serve program goals.
• Workshop participant grant applications as a group.
