When we imagine the ideal industry or sector partnership (IPs), often we think about building strong “talent pipelines” to ensure businesses always have trained workers to fill spots. But what if the point of IPs wasn’t just to funnel more and more people through a pipeline? Can we turn this notion on its head and reimagine IPs as a tool for shaping equitable workforce systems where workers, employers, and communities thrive together?

In this plenary, we’ll explore ways IPs can activate new, multi-faceted solutions that address the drivers of inequity, and how IPs can help us shift toward a future where all workers have the resources they need to thrive, race does not dictate employment outcomes, and all jobs are good jobs.
