Designing Human Centered Workforce Services: Mindset and Process

Over the past year and a half, five National Fund collaboratives have applied the principles and core concepts of human centered design (HCD) to improve local workforce services in their communities. Through this interactive, hands-on studio, participants will have the opportunity to:

• Practice using HCD-influenced tools to design and improve programs and services.
• Learn how HCD principles can help workforce development organizations and systems better center the experiences and needs of their participants, learners, and workers in the design and delivery of programs and services.
• Reflect on how insights gained through this studio might help them facilitate more human-centered, equity-focused mindsets among workforce development leaders and stakeholders in their communities.
