Memphis Works for Everyone: An Approach That Bridges Employer and Worker Needs

Discover an approach to workforce development that bridges the divide between employers and historically marginalized workers experiencing poverty. Memphis Works for Everyone (MemWorks), a collaboration between Slingshot Memphis and MDRC, developed an innovative approach to identify and overcome broken employment pathways in Memphis. Join us to learn how rigorous data analysis combined with primary and secondary research can identify the root causes of employment roadblocks, as well as the evidence-based practices most effective at overcoming them. In addition, you’ll hear The Collective Blueprint and The Greater Memphis Chamber share the perspectives of workers and employers and how MemWorks builds shared understanding and alignment. This approach can be replicated in other communities to increase employment outcomes that benefit both employers and workers.
