Redefining Success: Beyond Traditional Workforce Metrics

Traditionally, workforce organizations have adhered to pre-established metrics dictated by federal policy, such as WIOA guidelines. While these metrics reveal trends, they often overlook systemic issues and inequalities by focusing on individual outcomes. This results in hurdles to providing effective services to participants, communicating program effectiveness, aligning program metrics with organizational goals, and enabling staff to understand the broader impact of their activities. During our session we will share innovative research and strategies that elevate worker voices for more authentic program evaluation, aligning with participant goals, and organizational impact. We will detail processes to help attendees reassess, develop, or expand program metrics within their organizations.
