Danielle Caldwell, a distinguished early childhood professional with 30 years of experience, is a dedicated advocate for quality early education and equity. She currently serves as the Provider-in-Residence at the National Workforce Registry Alliance, where she leverages her expertise in home-based child care to promote race-equitable workforce practices and policy. Additionally, she is a consultant on leadership practices as a part of Home Grown’s Building Comprehensive Networks Community of Practice. As the former owner/practitioner of The Children’s Room, LLC, a home-based childcare program in Durham, North Carolina, Danielle brings lived- experience and a deep understanding of the needs of families and children and the juxtaposition of early care and education systems. Her passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion drives her wide range of national advocacy efforts, aiming to bridge the achievement gap for children in marginalized communities. She has served on regional and national early childhood task forces, including Durham’s Early Childhood Action Plan and the inaugural NC Family Childcare Advisory Council. She has been instrumental in organizing educators as an Advanced Embolden fellow and facilitator of the Early Educator’s Action Group for the National Domestic Worker’s Alliance.
