John Martinez is a national leader in leveraging evidence to improve social policies and programs. He is Vice President for Evidence to Practice at MDRC, a national nonpartisan education and social policy research organization dedicated to building and scaling evidence to improve policy and practice. John leads MDRC’s capacity building technical assistance practice, with previous roles as director of program development and deputy director of the Youth Development, Criminal Justice, and Employment policy area. John serves on the board of Slingshot Memphis, and is a former president of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management and former Chair of the National Youth Employment Coalition.
